Boumgrafik Agency | The Backstore was mandated to develop the brand image of a new general store located in Chicoutimi in the former Maison du Commerce, just at the foot of the little white house in the basin district. The project includes nominal research (brand name), logo design, visual identity and website design.
The style of the logo evokes authenticity and conviviality and reminds of old commercial signs. The bold, serif typeface reinforces the antique side of the business and the small letters favor conviviality. The woman on a chair personify and make live the brand. It evokes the antique, artisan and friendly side. It also suggests the concept of “gossiping”, sitting down and talking to someone, wich foster the gathering side of the business. The commerce include several antique rocking chairs on the porch wich enhance the image of the brand.
